Electric power plants can be divided into the following main types: thermal, nuclear, hydraulic, solar and wind. Electric power plants can be district, industrial, urban, and rural. District power plants are built near the place of fuel extraction or on large rivers and are designed to supply electricity to consumers located in the area of the plant. The capacity of such stations is quite large and reaches a hundred thousand or even million kilowatts.
