M-WERC announces year three of technology accelerator program WERCBench Labs

[Milwaukee, Wis.] - Applications are now being accepted for the Fall 2017 WERCBench Labs Program. M-WERC is looking for up to 10 start-up teams to participate in the program. The Fall 2017 program will be similar to the two-previous early-stage, start-up programs previously held in the summer 2015 and fall 2016. Each of those two programs graduated nine teams.

What is the Advanced Innovation Program?

Last month, M-WERC announced their latest innovation program, the Advanced Innovation Program, or AIP.  This program is the second phase of WERCBench Labs, and will help startup teams develop the skills that will prepare them to present to investors.  Instructors will position the start up teams to be attractive to investors, develop plans for revenue growth, and expand their set of networking capabilities to prepare for presentations to investors, concluding the program.

M-WERC hosts 2017 Energy Storage Conference
Tours of Johnson Controls sponsored energy storage labs at UWM to follow

[Milwaukee, Wis.] - The Midwest Energy Research Consortium (M-WERC) hosted the 2017 Energy Storage Conference Wednesday morning at UWM’s Zelazo Center.

M-WERC welcomed nearly 150 members and guests to the event. The conference featured keynote speaker George Crabtree of Argonne National Laboratory. There were also sessions covering energy storage technology, the advancement in energy storage research and the growth and expansion of energy storage applications.
